Dayskipper Practical

Gain the experience and qualifications necessary to sail a yacht confidently. Once you have learned the theoretical knowledge from the shorebased course, you will go on board our training yacht for a 5-day practical course with our RYA instructor. You will practice preparing for sea, deck work, navigation, pilotage, meteorology and maintenance/repair work. Learn about the rules of the road, engines, victualing and handling emergency situations, and practice handling the yacht under power and sail, passage making and night cruising.

This Internationally recognised certificate is ideal if you plan on chartering a yacht, as an increasing number of countries now demand compulsory certification.
