The annual Board Members Meeting was held on 13th August 2019. All but one board member were present with discussion points covering memberships, reciprocals, regatta calendar and activities, kids sailing, equipment, staffing, financials and future developments. The membership numbers have increased over the last year. The RYA centre has also shown great improvement in its second year of operation.
New for this year were the RC44 Porto Montenegro Regatta, Corporate events, new RYA Instructors, increased number of kids sailing sessions, new Gold Corporate Membership offer and four new reciprocal club partnerships.
As most of our members witnessed the RC44 event was our biggest regatta to date and marked a new level of sailing events in Porto Montenegro. The PMYCis extremely proud of this event and we look forward to hosting the 44 class again in 2021. For the RYA centre, the training of new three instructors has increased the potential for the number of courses. It’s great to expand the staff base by training local staff. The club has also developed its reciprocal clubs list with agreements signed with the California YC, Gstaad YC, Moda Deniz Club and Costa Smeralda. As a club of just 10 years, the board were happy to see the gradual improvement in all areas. Further to this, the board members hope to help increase member activities within the PMYC Members Lounge. In reaction to this request we have already held the first ‘members-only’ gathering at the lounge last Thursday with more events such as this to continue. The PMYC Board would like to thank all members for their great support and look forward to the coming year.
