This summer, 54 kids from Porto Montenegro and the local expat community joined our kids sailing lessons. It was quite the international crowd, with participants from ten countries, mostly from Russia.
“Kids sailing provides a great social atmosphere which has grown over the years. The kids have formed friendship groups both from school and outside of school,“ says Ben Murray Brown, Chief Trainer.
Due to the lockdown, we saw an increase in kids sailing in both participant level and numbers. As such, we held a lot more classes, with upcoming plans to move some of the older kids on to the J70s and work on their sailing teamwork skills. We can’t wait to see our young sailors join the international regattas in the years to come!
What do kids say?
“I like when we were on big waves.”
“I like going fast and when the boat is
leaning over.”
“I like sailing across the bay with my friend.”
“The best bit is Capsizing.”
